Savannah the Doula
My Story
Savannah Segovia is a certified doula with DONA (CD) and is dedicated to serving clients in the tri-state area, as well as virtually on an international level. Her extensive range of skills includes being a birth doula, fertility and postpartum doula, holistic V-Steam practitioner, placenta encapsulator, infant massage educator, and CPR instructor.
With a deep appreciation for the unique nature of each pregnancy and birth journey, Savannah draws upon her personal experience as a mother to provide empathetic and supportive care. Her background as an EMT with 14 years of experience in helping mothers deliver has provided her with a unique perspective on the evolving needs of modern childbirth. She firmly believes that compassionate, knowledgeable support is essential during this time.
Savannah considers every pregnancy and birth to be a miraculous event and feels honored to contribute her expertise to all those in the tri-state area and beyond, both physically and virtually.

Birthing Guidance
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I am committed to your health and the well-being of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your pregnancy as well as after giving birth shorty thereafter. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Advocacy
Trust, respect and your birth plan. I am here to hear your needs and execute as you wish. Always remember that YOU matter. YOUR voice will always be heard.

Savannah was EXCELLENT as my doula. She really made sure all of needs were met! I felt much more comfortable that I knew she was there. She even rubbed my feet and because they sprung on me that I was getting induced that day, I hadn’t had a chance to get a pedicure 😳😳. I was browsing for a Doula to support me while pregnant with my first child. I came across Savannah and did a virtual consolation with her. During our first meet and greet she made me feel comfortable.
Savannah was able to answer all my questions being a first time mom and not knowing what to expect.
I immediately made a decision to hire her. She came to my home a few times prior to me giving birth to explain the process and to show me birthing techniques. She also provided me with virtual birthing classes that were helpful during the pandemic.
On the day I went into labor, I contacted Savannah in the morning to inform her that I went into labor. She immediately met me at the hospital and was by my side for a long lengthy labor and delivery. Savannah made me feel comfortable and helped my ease my anxiety. She never left my side and was an amazing support person. I highly recommend her services she is well worth it! I would definitely hire her again for my next pregnancy!

Before I was ever pregnant I knew that I wanted a Doula. Savannah has over exceeded what I thought that would be for me during my pregnancy. She was very knowledgeable on every stage of pregnancy and labor and she made sure to prepare me prior. I could always tell that I was a priority because any time I reached out, she was there to answer my questions even if I asked the same few over and over. When it came to labor she was very attentive and never left my side. She made sure I was comfortable and gave massages and held my hand through all my contractions as much as I needed. While I did have the support of my boyfriend, it was great that she knew different techniques to help me as well. We even used a peanut ball which resulted in a faster natural dilation. At some point I wondered how she worked a full-time job, sat on the uncomfortable chair that the hospital provided, never got tired, or complained to be hungry. She stayed with me almost 24 hours waiting on the arrival of my son. In my opinion, a doula is completely necessary for every pregnancy. My pregnancy and labor went smooth and she made sure that I was mentally prepared for sure which is how I got through it. I am forever grateful for this experience with my Doula. I’ll see her again for my next pregnancy!
